In 2019, Aimé Leon Dore released its first collaboration with New Balance, a two-pack of New Balance 997s. This partnership has produced a ton of heat over the years, but also forged the relationship between New Balance and ALD founder Teddy Santis, who now leads the footwear brand’s MADE in USA division as creative director.
ALD is celebrating the 5-year anniversary of its New Balance partnership with a couple special releases of the 997. The first took place on Black Friday, a reissue of the 2019 Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 997 in a reimagined “Mismatch” colorway that combines both colorways of the OG drop into one pair. This pair sold out instantly as soon it released.

The second colorway in “Olive” is now set to drop. An olive-like hue covers the majority of the uppers, with pops of golden yellow on the tongue, a touch of burgundy on the side panels, and navy hits on the ankle collar and heel counter.
The raffle for the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 997 “Olive” opens Monday, December 2nd at 11am EST exclusively on the ALD website and closes at midnight on December 5th. Check out the campaign video and product shots below.
