adidas Anthony Edwards 1 Arrives In “Light Purple”

Following the release of the AE 1 Low “Lucid Lime,” adidas and Anthony Edwards are now launching the “Light Purple” colorway of the AE 1 Mid.

According to adidas, the AE 1 “Light Purple” colorway is “inspired by the icons of Minnesota who hold an affinity for the regal shade.” The Minnesota Timberwolves star pays homage to to the late pop icon Prince, who was born in Minneapolis and famously used the color purple in his music, fashion, and persona.

This colorway of the AE 1 features a sparkly pinkish purple hue across its TPU Generative Support Wing, which provides stability and containment needed for explosive play. The matching translucent outsole feature an enlarged herringbone pattern for superior traction, while the black inner bootie keeps the foot snug. A reflective purple toe box rounds out the design.
