Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 “Ainôzama”

Original Story (01/22/25): It appears Action Bronson has not one, but two New Balance 990v6 collabs set to release in 2025. After previewing the “Untitled” colorway, the Queens rapper and culinary connoisseur is back with a detailed look at a second 990v6 which he dubs “Amazõnia.”

We first got a sneak peek at this “Amazõnia” colorway on the feet of Mayhem Lauren in the Baklava Fall 2024 lookbook. The new close-up shots give us a better look at the shoe’s bright pink mesh uppers, which are paired with deep blue overlays, aqua accents at the eyelets, and tan mudguards. Dual-colored hiking style laces add more even more vibrant hues to the palette, while underfoot is a midsole in grey, beige, and white.

The Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 “Amazõnia” is expected to drop in Spring/Summer 2025 on Action Bronson’s website, the New Balance website, and at select retailers. Grab an early look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.

Update (04/09/25): Following the release of the “Untitled” colorway, Action Bronson has now announced launch details for his “Amazõnia” 990v6, aka the “Ainôzama,” inspired by the peyote plant. These drop April 18th via online raffle on specializinginlife.com.

The accompanying short film and lookbook was shot in Paris, a continuation of Baklava’s “Citizen of the World” campaign. It features a selection of artists and artisans “who have created spaces and enlightened us with information that have enriched our lives immeasurably.” Check it out below.

Update (04/19/25): Following the Specializing In Life drop, these “Ainôzama” 990v6s will now be getting a wider release on April 25th via New Balance and select retailers.
