For this week’s Supreme drop, the NY streetwear brand joins forces with Britain’s Barbour for a collection consisting of a field jacket, waist bag, crusher hat and camp cap.
Barbour is a fifth generation family-owned life style founded in 1894 in South Shields when founder John Barbour began supplying oilskins and other garments to protect the growing community of sailors, fishermen and dockers. These garments are created by taking heavy cloth and dousing it with a hot mix of oil, wax and gum, creating an armor for harsh weather conditions.
Each piece in this collection features a waxed cotton construction and comes in orange, black, and leopard print options. The lightweight field jacket is inspired by Barbour’s Bedale, a jacket originally designed in the 1980s for horse riders, as the shorter length was ideal for riding and the rear vents in the jacket made it easy to wear in the saddle.
Grab a complete look at the Supreme x Barbour collection below, featuring campaign images starring skater, designer, and model Blondey McCoy. The collection will be made available on Thursday, May 7th on the Supreme webstore.
