Tokyo-based streetwear brand WTAPS is reuniting with New Balance for a new collaboration on the MADE in USA 998.
After putting its spin on classic New Balance silhouettes like the 992 and 990v2, the Japanese brand now presents a minimalist 998 dressed in various shade of New Balance’s signature grey. This is complemented by navy accents and custom “WTAPS VISUAL UPARMORED” branding on the lateral heel. Additional WTAPS and New Balance co-branding is printed on the insoles.
The WTAPS x New Balance 998 drops November 8th on the WTAPS website. A global release will follow on November 15th on the New Balance website and select retailers. Check out the detailed images below.
