Shake James & adidas Celebrate Milwaukee with “414 Day” Forum Lows

Milwaukee-based philanthropist and CLICKS founder Eric “Shake” James has once again teamed up with adidas to release special-edition sneakers in honor of 414 Day—the city’s annual holiday celebrating Milwaukee pride.

The “414 Day” pack includes two colorways of the Forum Low CL, each inspired by Milwaukee’s flag—past and present. One pair comes dressed in blue with yellow accents, a nod to the People’s Flag of Milwaukee introduced in 2016. The other opts for an off-white base with blue and red accents, paying homage to the city’s original flag. Both styles feature wave graphics on the tongues, referencing Lake Michigan and Milwaukee’s scenic waterfront, while cheese and beer decals on the tongue tags celebrate Wisconsin’s iconic culinary staples.

Each pair comes with a collectible microphone keychain, inspired by the Five-Mic rating system made famous by The Source magazine. These are the final two mics needed to complete the five-piece set, with the previous three released alongside the Shake x adidas Forum Low “Day One” and last year’s “414 Day” Rivalry Low. The mic keychains also serve as tribute to Shake’s close friend, the late Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC, whose impact on hip-hop and street culture continues to inspire to this day.

Continuing their community-driven mission, Shake’s JAY Academy and adidas Cornerstone Community are partnering with Wood U to host a Sneaker Design Workshop on April 11th for students of Milwaukee College Prep. The hands-on experience will give youth an inside look at self-expression through design, encouraging future creatives to dream big.

The celebration continues on April 12th—officially proclaimed JAY Academy Day by the Milwaukee mayor in 2024—with the in-store launch at CLICKS, the clothes and kicks boutique located at 1916 E Capitol Dr in Shorewood, WI. The launch will include live sneaker customization, complimentary food, a live broadcast from 101.7 Milwaukee, and a meet-and-greet with designer Alexander John.

That evening, a Friends & Family event at NO Studios will gather local tastemakers and leaders for an unforgettable night of live performances by surprise guests, showcasing the city’s vibrant spirit and culture.

Finally, on 414 Day itself (April 14th), Shake will join the mayor for the annual flag ceremony and a live press conference celebrating both the release and his ongoing contributions to the Milwaukee community.
