Palace x Dr. Martens 1461 “Bottle Cap” Collection

Palace Skateboards and Dr. Martens reunite for a new collaboration this Spring 2025 season featuring three colorways of the classic 1461 shoe.

Offered in black, cherry red, and woodland camo, each pair of the Palace x Dr. Martens 1461 is equipped with a Palace bottle cap lace charm, inspired by the 1988 trend of attaching Grolsch swing-top bottle caps to 1461 shoes. This unlikely craze was made popular by Matt Goss, singer of the ’80s pop group Bros, best known for the hit “When Will I Be Famous.” The shoes are constructed from vintage smooth leather and are finished with a special-edition heel loop which, for the first time in Doc’s history, removes the “AirWair” text and replaces it with Palace branding.

The collection is presented alongside a campaign film set in a doctor’s waiting room. Legendary punk poet John Cooper Clarke stars as the receptionist, while Palace skaters Charlie Birch and Lucien Clarke, along with actor/model Serena Motola, appear as patients.

The Palace x Dr. Martens 1461 collection drops April 11th at palaceskateboards.com (11am ET) and at Palace locations. The collaboration will also be available on the Dr. Martens website in the UK and Europe on April 12th at 11am GMT, in Asia on April 13th at 11am JST, and in the US and Canada on April 14th at 12pm ET. Check out all three colorways in the campaign images below.
