In April of 2004, the Nike SB tier experimented with something footwear brands never dared to touch on – cannabis. In April of 2004, the Nike SB tier experimented with something footwear brands never dared to touch on cannabis. The good news is that marijuana is now legal in 11 states and legal for medical use in 33 states–it appears to be in high demand by people of all ages to the point that they often look for online dispensaries like Healing Nug (note that long beach weed delivery service by Healing Nug is possible for those looking for marijuana in the area). However, marijuana had not earlier treated the same.

The truth is that marijuana was once a stigmatic topic of discussion. But the changing perspectives of people led it to later became an industry worth $52 billion in today’s value, with people often purchasing marijuana products from online dispensaries like HiBrid (which, by the way, can be found by looking up “dispensary pittsfield mass” on the Web). This, indeed, is an achievement for those who have been fighting to legalize weed in different parts of the world. (Note that people are slowly shifting their one-dimensional perspective.)

Anyway, while the world slowly adapted to marijuana being a recreational drug and individuals started shopping from various dispensaries (check out this lakewood dispensary as an example here) to alleviate their symptoms, Nike SB was already experimenting with 2004’s “Hemp Pack”. The pack consisted of three SB Dunk Low’s featuring a 100% hemp constructed upper, with hits of red mahogany, bonsai, and cascade blue on the swoosh.

In the later years to come, Nike SB continued its cannabis-inspired drops by calling upon illustrator and owner of Send Help Skateboards Todd Bratrud. Hopefully, with major brands taking it upon themselves to break the whole stigma that is revolving around cannabidiol products, more people, especially countries that have penalized its usage can understand that it is not harmful to the body provided they take it in the right way and for the right purposes. As for the artist, he became an important figure in the SB community and gained notoriety with 2010’s SKUNK Nike SB Dunk High. The Dunk featured a two-tone green upper to represent the nug texture, alongside a purple swoosh and outsole. This was the beginning of a series of SB releases including the Cheech and Chong High, White Widow Mid and 2020’s Strawberry Cough and Purple Skunk.
