Nike Is Bringing Back the Air Force 1 “Escape”

Nike is bringing back the cult-classic “Escape” colorway of the Air Force 1 Low for its first-ever retro release.

Characterized by its premium materials and earthy brown color palette, the “Escape” colorway made its debut in 1988 as one of the original colorways of the Air Force III. It has made appearances on various Nike Sportswear silhouettes ever since, including the Air Max 90, Air Huarache, Air Force II, and of course, the Air Force 1. Now in 2025, Nike is re-releasing the “Escape” Air Force 1 for the first time ever in celebration of its 20th anniversary.

The Nike Air Force 1 “Escape” features a white leather base paired with light and dark brown nubuck construction. Other defining features include a black leather Swoosh, perforated quarter panels, red accents on the tongues and heels, a white midsole, and a black outsole. For the most part, the 2025 retro stays true to the OG 2005 release, though there are some minor changes. The original “ESCAPE” branding on the tongue tags has been replaced with standard Nike Air Force 1 branding, and the ribbing on the sockliner has also been removed.

The Nike Air Force 1 “Escape” drops May 8th on SNKRS and at select retailers. Check out the official images below.
