Original Story (06/07/21): The New Balance 990 series has evolved over the years since its launch in 1982. Following the debut of the 990v5 in 2019, we now have a look at the next installment, the 990v6.

Teddy Santis, the Aimé Leon Dore founder and new Creative Director of New Balance MADE in USA, has taken to social media to give a first glimpse at the update silhouette. Revealed in New Balance’s signature all-grey colorway, the 990v6 features a mesh construction with suede overlays and appears to borrow some design elements from the 992, especially in the toe box region. Other elements include a 990 badge on the lateral side of the heel, a new heel clip on the back of the heel, and (most importantly) and updated sole unit with FuelCell cushioning.

The New Balance 990v6 will make its debut in 2022, dropping via newbalance.com and select retailers worldwide. Grab a first look at the model below. Is this your favorite in the 990 Version series? Let us know in the Twitter and Facebook comments.
