Lifted Research Group (LRG) is back with another classic re-release just in time for spooky szn. After bringing back the OG “Dead Serious” hoodie in 2021, the California-based streetwear label is now re-releasing the “Friday the 47th” hoodie.

LRG first released the “Friday the 47th” hoodie in 2007, serving as a much-hyped follow-up to the “Dead Serious” hoodie released a year prior. The ski mask hood attachment, chainsaw motifs, and striped design draw inspiration from classic slasher film villains such as Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, and Leatherface. 15 years after its original release, this classic grail is now returning in its original three colorways: black, red, and grey. LRG is even working with the original manufacturer and utilizing the original design cads to make sure all of the original details are included.

To help reintroduce the hoodie, LRG has enlisted Jadakiss, whose government name is Jason, as the star of the campaign. The LOX member’s long legacy of lyrically “murdering” your favorite rapper and leaving them in a bloody wake makes Kiss a perfect partner for this drop.

The LRG “Friday the 47th” hoodie returns this Friday, October 14th on the LRG website (9am PT) and at select retailers such as Shiekh, Zumiez, Karmaloop, Mainland Skate & Surf in California, and Definitive Selection in Chicago. The grey colorway will be exclusive to LRG and Zumiez. Retail price is $120.
