Mattel, Inc. has announced the release of a Ken doll in the likeness of LeBron James, making him the first-ever Kenbassador for the Barbie brand.
The LeBarbie doll, a collaboration with the LeBron James Family Foundation, celebrates the NBA superstar’s positive impact on culture, style, and community. The doll is dressed in a blue varsity jacket adorned with LeBron-themed patches, a Lebron James Family Foundation tee, plaid pants, and Nike Terminator High sneakers. The kicks are marked with “BBZ” and “James Gang” writing, signature details pulled from LeBron’s IRL footwear dedicated to his three children: Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri. Accessories include a black crown hat, crossbody bag, Beats headphones, and a gold watch.
This release is part of a special Barbie Signature collection marking the 45th anniversary of the first Black Barbie. Other trailblazing Black icons featured in the collection include Alicia Keys, Naomi Osaka, and Issa Rae.

In support of early childhood literacy—a cause close to LeBron’s heart—Mattel will donate a copy of his children’s book, I Am More Than, to Save the Children for every Barbie Signature LeBron James Kenbassador doll sold by Target between April 14-19, up to 5,000 copies.
An early limited release of the doll, including a few signed by LeBron James, will take place at UNDEFEATED on La Brea in Los Angeles on April 12th, with doors opening at 11am PT.
