Under Armour and the Curry Brand are releasing a new “What The Bay” Curry 12 colorway to celebrate Steph Curry’s home city playing host to this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend festivities.
This special edition colorway pays homage to the two cities that define the Bay Area, San Francisco and Oakland, through a mismatched yet complementary design. Each shoe features unique color palettes and details that reflect the essence of its respective city.
The San Francisco-inspired left shoe boasts an airbrushed blue and grey gradient suede upper, symbolizing the city’s iconic fog, while red accents pay tribute to the Golden Gate Bridge. Meanwhile, the Oakland-inspired right shoe features a vibrant airbrushed orange and yellow suede upper, reminiscent of the city’s striking sunsets, with light grey accents representing the Bay Bridge.
Adding to the local flair, each city’s gridlines appear on the sock liners and TPU sidewalls, while their respective area codes are featured on interchangeable velcro tongue details.
Fans in the Bay Area can grab a pair at Under Armour and Curry Brand’s exclusive retail activation at Shoe Palace’s new flagship store in San Francisco’s Union Square. The activation, running from February 14-17, will also offer limited-edition Curry Brand gear celebrating Steph Curry’s 11th All-Star selection.
The Under Armour Curry 12 “What The Bay” will release February 14th on the Under Armour website and at select retailers such as DICKS Sporting Goods, Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and Finish Line. Grab an official look below.
