Aries & Salomon Reimagine the Snowclog

0

Salomon Sportstyle has teamed up with London-based luxury streetwear brand Aries for their first collaboration together, the Aries x Salomon Snowclog.

The collaboration features an updated version of the Snowclog, a silhouette originally launched in the late ’90s as an easy to slip on clog with winter-ready traction on the outsole. For this project, Aries reimagines the silhouette into an actual sneaker, adding a heel component and lacing, with design inspiration pulled from the Salomon XT-6 and XT-QUEST 2.

The Aries x Salomon Snowclog is offered in “Black” and “Lunar Rock” colorways, each showcasing Aries’ signature fluro highlight motif across the mesh upper. Aries Arise branding appears on the tongue strip, while Aries’ Parthenon motif is incorporated into the branding on the tongues, lateral heels, and heel tabs. Last but not least, the midsoles feature a marbled effect inspired by ancient Greek architecture and are crafted from InfiniFOAM — a sustainable material that is both recycled and recyclable.

The official campaign for the launch draws inspiration from Japanese superhero TV shows from the ’70s and ’80s, such as Ultraman and Super Sentai. The video was directed by long-time Aries collaborators Dario Vigorito and Douglas Irvine and stars professional MMA fighters as they “battle” on the island of Menorca.

The Aries x Salomon Snowclog drops November 14th on Salomon.com (10am ET), the Aries website (4am ET), and at select retailers. Check out the campaign and official images below.
