A special release of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chicago” appears to be on the way as part of Jordan Brand’s 40th anniversary celebration.
As first reported by Sneaker Market RO, Jordan Brand will be dropping an Air Jordan 1 Low OG NRG in the classic Bulls colors of Black and Varsity Red. This release is speculated to be a special retro version of the Air Jordan 1 Low in the classic “Chicago” colorway from the original 1985 AJ1 High lineup.
Jordan Brand first introduced the Air Jordan 1 Low “Chicago” in 2016 as part of Jordan Brand’s 30th anniversary celebration. Now that the Jumpman is turning 40, we can expect a new iteration for 2025. How exactly this new version will look has yet to be confirmed, though we do know its an “NRG” (Energy) release from Jordan Brand, so expect some sort of special feature. We also know that this version has Muslin as part of its official color, while the colors of the 2016 version were Varsity Red/Black-White.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG NRG “Chicago” is expected to drop as part of Jordan Brand’s Fall 2025 Retro lineup on SNKRS and at select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates as we learn more about this release.
