Jordan Brand is dropping a Low version of the beloved “Obsidian” AJ1 as part of the 40th anniversary celebration of the Air Jordan 1 in 2025.
The “Obsidian” Air Jordan 1 High OG originally released in 2019, dressed in a color scheme that pays tribute to Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina. The upcoming Low version chops the top off the 2019 release, while keeping the same color blocking: a sail leather base, obsidian blue overlays on the forefoot and swoosh, and UNC blue overlays at the heel.
The “Obsidian” is just one of a few AJ1 High colorways that are making their return in 2025. A “Rookie of the Year” Low is slated to drop this summer, while a Low version of the OG “Chicago” is expected to drop this holiday season.
