In 2019, Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance kicked off their partnership with the launch of their first collaboration, a pack of 997s that was well-received by fans and the broader sneakerhead community.
The two brands have grown immensely since then, both as separate entities and together through their numerous follow-up collab projects. ALD founder Teddy Santis has even taken on the role of Creative Director of New Balance’s MADE in USA line, with this partnership now in its seventh season.
ALD and New Balance are now doing something they’ve never before, work together to create a brand new silhouette. The RC56 is New Balance’s first-ever silhouette designed in collaboration with a brand partner completely from scratch. It features a sleek, low profile, racing-inspired design, crafted from premium leathers. The shoe will launch in three colorways: yellow/grey/green, navy/black/yellow, and white/cream/green.
