adidas has unveiled the kits that the Mexican national team will wear in 2025 international competitions, along with an accompanying collection featuring a matching pair of Sambas.
El Tri’s Gold Cup “México De Oro” kit features an elegant black base with gold accents, inspired by the golden age of Mexican cinema and regional Mexican music. The tonal pattern on the jersey pays homage to traditional mariachi outfits, while the pixelated trim and font are inspired by Aztec architecture. The front of the jersey features a gold deconstructed national team crest and the adidas Trefoil logo, the latter making its first appearance on a Mexico jersey in over 30 years.
Mexico will debut the kits during the CONCACAF Nations League semifinals against Canada on March 21st and will wear them until the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“For us, wearing this collection in the upcoming matches is an honor,” says Ivar Sisniega, President of the Mexican Soccer Federation. “Bringing the passion of soccer to an international stage is like being part of a movie in which our Mexican heritage is told, not only through a script, but via every step, pass and shot on the field. We are thrilled that this collection captures all that our culture represents.”
The jerseys are accompanied by a culture-wear apparel capsule that includes a tracksuit, hoodies, and more. Rounding out the offering is the adidas Samba Mexico “Gold Cup,” featuring an airy black mesh upper, intricate gold Three Stripes on the side panels, and the team’s crest on the tongue tags.
The adidas Samba Mexico OG “Gold Cup” and “México de Oro” collection are now available on the adidas website and at select retailers such as Snipes, World Soccer Shop, and soccer.com. Check out the preview below.
