Anthony Edwards’ Best Friend Gets His Own adidas AE 1 Low

Nick “Slickkk” Maddox has played a major role in the rollout of Anthony Edwards’ first signature shoe adidas AE 1. Ant has featured his best friend Slickkk in various commercials for the AE 1, starting from the first one released last October that threw some jabs at signature shoes of other NBA athletes. These headline-grabbing promo clips have helped propel the AE 1 to “Sneaker of the Year” status, an incredible feat, especially for a performance basketball shoe.

This December, Anthony Edwards thanks Maddox for his contributions with his own colorway of the adidas AE 1 Low. The shoe is dressed in an eye-catching iridescent Blue Burst hue that captures the snowy winter aesthetic of the holiday season and the Timberwolves’ iced-out City Edition jerseys. As a special touch, these come with Nick’s initials “NM” on the tongues instead of the Anthony Edwards logo.
