Jaden Smith solidifies his place in the creative universe with each collaborative project. His latest comes in the form of a sleek grey colorway of his New Balance Vision Racer silhouette.
Combining New Balance’s reputation of comfort and chunkiness with Jaden’s modern and experimental one, the sneaker is a rather interesting byproduct. Starting with the lower half as it draws the attention first, the midsole enlists the help of a thick white foam. The outsole tries out an icy blue with Smith’s [DO YOU SEE IT YET?] text in hot pink. The upper keeps things familiar with a mix of grey shades that have become synonymous with the Boston-based footwear brand. The shoe features a vegan construction of mesh, leather and suede throughout. As for an added sustainability aspect, the recipe calls for recycled polyester, reground EVA foam, and castor bean oil.
